More than 400 pupils, parents, staff and guests celebrated the many achievements made at Mildenhall College Academy over the past year, at its annual awards evening ceremony.
The academy celebrated the hard work of its pupils throughout the academic year and presented them with awards for individual successes in a range of areas.
Pupils from across the academy were awarded prizes for their outstanding effort and achievements at the ceremony held on Thursday, October 19.
Susan Byles, Principal, said: “It was a great evening. It was really wonderful to see so many people attend and to see the students presented with their prizes. I have to say a huge thank you to the many local companies for their generous sponsorship without which we could not host such an event.”
Among the winners were Finlay Boyle, who was awarded an A* with Distinction for GCSE Further Maths after achieving one of the highest scores in the country with 171 marks out of a possible 175, and Rebecca Abeyasekere for outstanding GCSE results. Keri John also received the Service to Community Award for her work with Mildenhall Scouts, while Hannah Rogers picked up the 100% attendance gong.Back to News
