Neil Lucas

Board Trustee

Dr Neil Lucas is an education professional with expertise in the Further and Higher education sector. Neil currently provides Interim Executive Leadership and Consultancy Services to the post compulsory education sector. Recent projects include the operational management of a School of Education with specific focus on developing new programmes for Initial Teacher Education and chairing a University Committee responsible for quality assurance and operational oversight of its global education partners. 

Prior to this Neil was the Director and Principal of a private International College. He strategically set the vision, ethos and performance targets for all aspects of the College business. Operationally he was responsible for delivering a College service that facilitated sustainable growth in student numbers to deliver strong financial returns according to corporate imperatives. Under his leadership the College became one of the largest of its kind in the United Kingdom.

Neil has also worked for Swansea University as the Head of the Statistics/Business Planning Unit; the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales; Lectured at Kingston University (London) in GIS, Spatial Statistics and Remote Sensing; BP Exploration as a land and hydrographic surveyor; Rolls Royce as a Graduate Trainee; he has consulted to a number of organisation including the British National Space Centre; the International Sakharov Institute of Radioecology in Belarus and Taylor Woodrow.
