Phil Milligan has a long history working in the NHS, having started his career as a nurse and culminated as a Chief Executive. He has worked in very senior roles for many years and in some of the largest Hospital NHS Trust’s in the Midlands. Phil and his wife owned a Nursing Home and Phil says that this experience firmly embedded his beliefs about the importance of valuing staff and the contribution that they make. Having been a Director of 3 limited companies, Phil also brings experience of the business sector and continues to provide management consultancy to health and social care organisations.
Having been educated to Masters level (MSc in Health Management) , he has been responsible for the management development of many healthcare managers, he has been the past Chair of the Institute of Health Services Management. and previously been a Governor at an inner city school, Phil understands the importance of education and personal development and stands firmly behinds the ATT’s ambitions for its pupils.
