I joined Bristnall Hall as a Lead Practitioner in Science seven years ago. I was always interested in leadership and took opportunities when they arose; doing my NPQSL, facilitating the SSAT lead practitioner accreditation, offering to step up to lead the Science Community. Each opportunity I enjoyed and I learned from.
After COVID, I stepped into the position of assistant principal at Bristnall hall leading on teaching and learning, where worked to ensure a common, aspirational and inclusive vision for classroom practice. Since then the academy has been graded outstanding, a judgement I am proud to have contributed to.
Over the years I’ve been inspired by so many strong women in my professional life, both at a trust level and a school level! Seeing them as role models in senior leadership positions I think makes you believe that anything is possible. I find that the women in ATT are so supportive and developmental!
