Nicola is the Director of Maths and Science for the Inspiration Trust and the Maths Hub Lead for Angles Maths Hub. A maths teacher for more than 35 years, Nicola is never happier than in her classroom. She delivers CPD through the NCETM and leads nationally on their Maths and Science programme.
Session: Maths and Science – A Collaborative Approach
Maths teaching does not only take place in maths classrooms, science teachers also teach many maths concepts. Maths and science teachers need to have an awareness of the similarities and differences in the maths within their subject to support students to become full and rounded STEM learners. This workshop will encourage you to think collaboratively and work together to explore ways of teaching that develop mathematical understanding and the fluency skills required for success in science.
