It has become commonplace in recent times to dismiss calls for fidelity as an excuse for programmes or techniques not working. However, this session will show that not only does fidelity matter for impact, but it is essential for research design, evaluation and replication. We will look at case studies of research reports and examples from schools including spectacularly successful, and unsuccessful implementations.
