Session | Missing Mothers: Retaining and Valuing Experienced Colleagues in the Workforce
Women aged 30-39 are the largest group of teachers leaving the profession every year. In this session, we’ll share the full extent of this shocking attrition data, and explain the impact of the “motherhood penalty” on teacher supply. We’ll outline the findings of the 2024 “Missing Mothers” report, and the details included in the 2026 White Paper focusing on returning mothers. The session offers concrete retention solutions for leaders and champions within our staff teams.
