She is dedicated to improving outcomes for young people through outstanding safeguarding practice, across the trust.
Christine began her educational career as a Design and Technology teacher in an all-girls secondary, developing curriculum and best practice as an advanced skills practitioner. She then took on her first Pastoral Leadership roles, coordinating PSHE and leading student voice as a Head of House.
She went on to work for an independent coeducational boarding school in Berkshire, where she led two departments, moving onto working as a Head of Key Stage. She developed various new systems for behaviour, rewards, and academic monitoring, as well as creating a peer-led mentoring system.
After relocating to Norfolk, Christine worked at a new Free School where she led on Safeguarding, Behaviour and Attendance, creating and embedding new structures and systems to ensure the successful set up of an expanding school. During her time there, the school was rated Good with outstanding features in the areas Christine lead.
After the birth of her first son, Christine worked as a Deputy Head of Pastoral care, Safeguarding, and Boarding in an independent boarding school, achieving successful ISI Inspection outcomes. As a mental health specialist, she developed a whole school approach to Mental Health and Wellbeing, which recieved recognition through the Optimus Wellbeing Award. Christine delivered conferences on the subject of Whole School Mental Health and Wellbeing strategy to the Society of Heads and worked in consultation with local schools, as part of an outreach program.
Christine then began a role as Safeguarding Manager at an ATT academy, taking time away for the birth of her second son before going on to become our Director of Safeguarding. Christine values her work in transforming young lives through effective safeguarding and pastoral care.
