Liz has worked in Lifelong Learning for over 20 years and is passionate about the opportunities and life chances that it enables. She actively strives to embed inclusivity in to all that she does, is focused upon challenging social mobility, raising aspirations within the communities that she serves and is very much an innovator and change maker.
Liz became Principal of ATTFE College in 2016. ATTFE College achieved Ofsted Good under her leadership in 2017, followed by Ofsted Good with Outstanding features (in personal development and most significantly in adult learning) in 2023.
In 2022 Liz received an OBE for Services to Education in the Queen’s New Year Honours. In September 2024, Liz became a Deputy Lieutenant for Nottinghamshire. In her personal life Liz holds numerous voluntary roles including Lead Governor for Sherwood Forest Hospital Trust.
