Richard has been dedicated to education since 2003, beginning his career as a PE teacher in Staffordshire before relocating to Norfolk in 2006. His passion for inclusion and improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils led him to work in Alternative Provision from 2016. There, Richard implemented an ambitious and academically challenging curriculum tailored to meet the bespoke needs of students, ensuring they achieved strong outcomes.

In 2023, Richard joined ATT as the Principal of Iceni Secondary Academy. Since taking on this role, he has focused on fostering a positive school culture and creating a purposeful learning environment where students can thrive both personally and academically. Richard has recently completed and passed his NPQH, further solidifying his commitment to educational leadership.

Outside of his professional work, Richard is an avid cyclist and competes in cyclocross events, demonstrating his passion for both physical activity and personal growth.
