Why Train as a Teacher?
Teaching is an incredibly rewarding career where you make a difference in children’s lives every day! It provides a unique opportunity to inspire and shape the futures of young people, impacting their lives and the community around them. You’ll get to explore your creativity and bring your personality to the classroom!
Demand for qualified teachers is high across the country, and there’s a clear path of progression into higher level roles, making teaching a stable career. With term-time working hours, it’s also a flexible job, particularly for parents.
Why Train with ATT Institute?
ATTI offer a school-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme; this means you’ll be in school for your whole year of study, rather than training at a university. You achieve the same academic qualifications as university teacher training, but with more opportunity to learn in a real classroom, gaining confidence and building relationships with pupils and staff alike!

What Do I Need to Train as a Teacher?
- An undergraduate degree. If you want to be a secondary teacher, it’s helpful if your degree is in a related subject to the one you want to teach, but it doesn’t have to be.
- A GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in Maths and English. If you want to be a primary teacher, you also need to have a Grade 4+ in a science subject.
- Right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, ATT is not able to sponsor visas for trainee teachers.
