Gavin worked in Wolverhampton schools for 18 years as a teacher, subject specialist, and senior leader. In 2008 he was seconded to the Local Authority to support schools in their adoption and implementation of education technologies and became Head of the Learning Technologies Team in 2011.
Gavin has worked with schools and ministries of education, in the UK and internationally, focusing on the adoption of education technologies, leadership and management styles, teaching and learning, curriculum design and assessment.
Gavin is now CEO of Squirrel Learning (an educational software company) and a director of Engagedu CIC and Online Behaviours Limited.
Gavin is Chair of the Trust Board of Elston Hall Learning Trust and Naace (the Education Technology Association).
