At ATT, we know that providing the very best education for our learners can transform their life chances. We aim to ensure that all our teachers and classroom-based colleagues have the skills and support they need provide a high quality of education.

Aligned Autonomy

Our guiding principle of aligned autonomy allows us to ensure that the quality of education is high across every one of our schools, whilst allowing us to tailor curriculum and interventions to local need. Our academies benefit from taking part in a range of professional communities, where colleagues from each academy share best practice and work together to develop strategy in their subjects and phases.

“Learning builds on what pupils already know. Pupils see themselves as experts in the different subjects – as scientists or historians, for instance – and learn well.”

Ambitious Curriculum

Our ambitious approach to curriculum aims to equip all learners with the powerful knowledge and cultural capital that will enable them to succeed- not just in school, but by stimulating social mobility and lifelong learning. Every one of our learners experiences a curriculum that is ambitious, enjoyable, inclusive, and knowledge rich. Whilst inspiring young people with the breadth of creativity and human achievement, we’re at the same time ensuring that key skills like oracy, literacy, numeracy and digital skills are developed to give them access to the widest range of learning.

“With effective trust support, the school has embedded an ambitious curriculum in most subjects across the school… [teachers] are ambitious for what pupils should be able to do from Year 7.”

Adaptable and Inclusive

At ATT, we believe that every child has the right to a transformative education. Our curriculum is designed with inclusivity and accessibility in mind; we use the Judith Carter 7Cs model to ensure intentional curriculum planning that allows teachers to adapt their lessons and delivery to the needs of their learners.
