ATTI Fellows: Our Flight Crew

Our ATTI Fellows play a central role in delivering high-quality professional development across our programmes, including National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), the Early Career Teachers Programme (ECTP), and our Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme.

Fellows act as expert facilitators for both online and face-to-face learning, ensuring that all sessions are engaging, evidence-informed, and accessible. Their responsibilities include:

  • Leading training sessions and fostering collaborative learning environments.

  • Monitoring participant engagement and providing encouragement and tailored support where needed.

  • Working in close partnership with co-facilitators, delivery partners, and lead providers to maintain consistent standards and coherence across programmes.

  • Assessing candidate submissions using No More Marking to ensure fair, rigorous, and transparent grading.

Through this work, Fellows make a direct impact on the professional growth of educators at all stages of their career.

“As a facilitator I have also seen my thinking and skills develop through my engagement which has helped me to reflect and improve as a facilitator and professional in education.”

Nicola Hood, NPQ Fellow

Our facilitators are experienced, ambitious professionals who bring expertise, passion, and credibility to every programme they lead.

  • NPQ Facilitators are outstanding leaders with proven experience in roles directly related to the qualification or programme they deliver. They combine practical leadership experience with a deep understanding of the evidence base that underpins effective school improvement. They are committed to continually updating their knowledge of pedagogy and leadership to ensure the highest standards of professional learning.

  • ECF Facilitators are skilled practitioners who understand the unique challenges faced by teachers in the first years of their career. They guide Early Career Teachers through structured development, providing support, insight, and challenge that helps them embed evidence-informed practice and build confidence in the classroom.

  • ITT Facilitators play a vital role in shaping the next generation of teachers. They are excellent classroom practitioners who can model effective pedagogy, mentor trainees, and support them to develop the professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions required for a successful teaching career.

Across all roles, our facilitators demonstrate:

  • Strong subject and pedagogical expertise.

  • The ability to engage, inspire, and motivate participants.

  • A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and partner organisations.

  • A commitment to high-quality, evidence-informed professional development.

You don’t need to be working with Academy Transformation Trust to become an ATTI Fellow. External applicants are encouraged to apply if they feel their expertise aligns with the role.

Becoming an ATTI Fellow is more than a title; it’s a professional growth opportunity. As a Fellow, you will:

  • Enhance your own leadership profile by contributing to nationally accredited programmes that are recognised and respected across the sector.

A Fellowship is a chance to invest in your own development while making a lasting impact on colleagues, schools, and learners.

As an ATTI Fellow, you will be fully supported to succeed in your role and grow as a professional.

  • You will receive comprehensive facilitator training from our partners at Ambition Institute, equipping you with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to deliver high-quality professional development. This training will prepare you to operate as a fully qualified facilitator.

  • You will receive payment for your time, recognising the value of your expertise and commitment.

  • You will gain transferable skills in facilitation, mentoring, and leadership that will strengthen your own career journey.

  • You will join a network of Fellows across our Trust, sharing practice, building relationships, and influencing the future of teacher and leader development.

Becoming a Fellow is both a professional achievement and a stepping stone to further leadership opportunities.
